Family Therapy
DBT-informed family therapy helps families improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen emotional understanding using principles and skills from DBT. This approach is especially helpful for families navigating intense emotions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or recurring patterns of conflict at home or with peers.
Treatment focuses on practicing DBT skills together - such as validation, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication - while discussing important family issues. The goal is to create a more balanced, supportive, and collaborative family environment, while helping families build confidence and skills to navigate difficult conversations effectively on their own over time.
